DOUBLE DOT MAGAZINE
An editorial comic for Double Dot Magazine Issue 8 'Paris & Seoul'. The article discusses Paris's historical aversion to skyscrapers, and their recent decision to build the first one (the Triangle) since the Eiffel Tower.
For this project I used the pixels of two iconic photos, the attack on the Twin Towers and the fleeing of Kim Phuc, as the framework for a 30 page comic. The shocking iconic image becomes visible from a distance or when you take a photo of it. To read the story behind the photo you literally have to zoom in on the image by walk towards it. One of the stories has been translated into a comic-zine titled 'Nam War'.
A series of portraits and comics for De Correspondent. For an article by Maurits Martijn: 'Operatie Leunstoel'
THE NEW YORK TIMES
